PROJECTS

Bio_   Circe Ervina is a Photographer, Creative and Cultural Manager (Madrid, 1982). She holds a Master's in Photographic Projects from Photoespaña  (2023) and graduated from the European University with a degree in "Audiovisual Communication"  (2006).

She believes that storytelling is most effective and powerful when rooted in close intimacy with subjects and an understanding of the stories behind the lens. Circe's work explores intersections between social impact, human rights, and environmental awareness, focusing on relationship-based narratives that place individuals in their own stories with a direct connection to their own experiences. Firmly believing that time, trust, and understanding are key to portraying subjects authentically, many of her projects unfold over several years.

Passionate about all aspects of human psychology and the power of art to generate social impact, Circe specializes in identifying, researching, and narrating stories with a direct connection to her personal experiences. She adopts a profound documentary approach from an introspective and conceptual perspective, merging reality with symbolic elements.

With over 15 years of experience, Circe strives to bring innovation and creativity to each project. She has collaborated with companies such as Europa Press, Photoespaña, Instituto de las Mujeres, Agency Grey, Ogilvy, and Ted Prize, among others. Beyond her role as a photographer and director, Circe Ervina has played significant roles in the cultural realm. Serving as a cultural manager and curatorial assistant for prestigious institutions like Instituto de las Mujeres, Instituto Cervantes, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, and Sala Canal, she actively contributed to the organization of Cristina de Middel's recent exhibition. These cultural experiences have enriched her understanding of art, allowing her to engage in projects transcending the boundaries of visual art, and making a meaningful contribution to the world of culture.
